I always enjoy the "Mormon Messages" produced by the Church on its YouTube channel. Every now and then, a Mormon Message is produced that deeply touches my heart and makes me want to be a better person. This week, one such video was released, titled "Enduring Love" and directed by LDS actor/producer Bruce Newbold. "Enduring Love" features an elderly married couple with debilitating disabilities--the husband with Parkinson's Disease and the wife suffering from a stroke. Despite their challenges, the husband unselfishly and lovingly takes care of his wife. Although the couple portrayed in the video are actors representing a married couple, the actor playing the husband, Scott Wilkinson, actually does have Parkinson's disease. I love the powerful message of the video: There is nothing more powerful than unselfish love. You can watch or link to the video below.
The video ends with a quote by Elder Richard G. Scott: "Marriage provides an ideal setting for overcoming any tendency to be selfish or self-centered....Pure love is an incomparable, potent power for good, and the foundation of a successful marriage." Amen to that.
Loved the video. Very powerful. Any idea who music composer is? I would love to purchase music.
ReplyDeleteGreat question. I believe the composer is mentioned in the podcast, but I cannot remember specifically.
